Elaine Derricott, a former Henrico star, led the North to a 49-42 victory in the second annual ASSIST girls all-star game.
Derricott, headed to Radford on a track and field scholarship, earned MVP honors with her consistent effort.
Hanover’s Chelsea Coward also had a outstanding game for the North. She’s headed to Longwood.
Petersburg’s Ashley Whitaker led the South, and also received the Academic Achievement award.
Whitaker, headed to Virginia State, carries a 4.3 grade-point average.
